How to rip sites?

What is the best software/approach to ripping a site for video and images?

There used to be offline browsers, once upon a time, but they don't seem to be in favor any more.

There are rippers for images only, such as Bulk Image Downloader (which is great).

But, I am hoping to find a way to rip a site for images and videos, either as a copy of the site or allowing me to pick and choose.

Any recommendations?

The most efficient way to do this is by using stream recording apps (not screen recording). There are many of them but not all are working. Mostly, it depends of streaming protocol/type site is using Vs which of those recording apps support required video streaming protocol. Years ago there were plenty of apps which could do this but since sites are upgrading and updating their security measures to prevent this. Some of the most known are Replay Media Catcher (twin brother Jaksta), VSO downloader, GetFLV and several others.

One of the most efficient ones is Internet Download Manager (IDM). It works with most of the popular subscription sites.

What you can also try Firefox and/or Chrome addons/extensions but there is no "best" one. You should try few of them and see which one can work for the site you want to download videos from.
